^ The Black Ring is slated for release in Hardcover I believe in March and will probably not be out in TPB until the fall time. I would have picked up on the homage of Carling yelled "I don't want to go!!" That was a great scene between Lois Droid and Joker though.

Marvel's done their share of Doctor Who references too. The comic book Excalibur (A British team that had a bunch of X-men in it between their adventures on the team) had a lot of DW references. Most notably the Daleks appearing in cameos.

Marvel's character Death's Head, who first appeared in Marvel UK's Transformers comic strip, actually met the Seventh Doctor a couple of times, in stories in Doctor Who Magazine, and Death's Head's own series. In one story, the Doctor drops DH off on top of the headquarters of the Fantastic Four in New York! The Merlin character who appeared not too long ago in Paul Cornell's Captain Britain & M.I:15 is intended to be the same person who appeared in one of the early comic strips of DWM. The Doctor and his associates really get around.
