The Defiant's turbolift in 'To the Death'

I really like the Defiant, but does it really take more than 15 seconds (I didn't count) to go 4 decks (or maybe even less) down?

Turbolift speed varies between length of conversations in said turbolift, and the required speed of the plot to reach the desired deck.

Well aside from the plot speed element of travel. Given the size of the Defiant and no doubt limited turbolift routes if others are in reuse it might have to go a longer route or travel ata slower speed.
