The CW 2014-2015 Schedule

Out Of My Vulcan Mind

Vice Admiral
Admiral
Here's the CW's 2014-2015 schedule with descriptions of their new shows.

The CW's 2014-2015 scripted shows in order of longevity:

Supernatural - 10th season
The Vampire Diaries - 6th season
Hart of Dixie - 4th season
Arrow - 3rd season
Beauty and the Beast - 3rd season
The 100 - 2nd season
The Originals - 2nd season
Reign - 2nd season
The Flash - 1st season
iZombie - 1st season
Jane the Virgin - 1st season
The Messengers - 1st season

The CW's scripted shows cancelled in the 2013-2014 season:

Nikita - 4 seasons
The Carrie Diaries - 2 seasons
Star-Crossed - 1 season
The Tomorrow People - 1 season

Of those, I'll be watching Arrow, The Flash, and The 100. And I suppose I'll give iZombie a try. I'm not at all interested in zombie fiction, but the fact that it stars Rose McIver and is from the creator of Veronica Mars has me interested in spite of that.

Being that I have friend workin on iZombie, Flash, and now Jane the Virgin, of course I'll start watching each. Looking forward to Arrow coming back too.

I've been listening to the '40s Superman radio series on the Internet Archive, and it's hilarious both how awful Clark Kent is at maintaining his secret identity and how dense all his friends are that the don't catch on. There were countless scenes that went something like this:

"Well, Lois, when Jimmy and I were in Chicago--"
"Jimmy and you? But he was there with Superman!"
"Well, I, I, I meant Jimmy and Superman. Funny, I'm so tired I'm starting to get myself confused with Superman, how about that?"
"As if that could ever happen. Clark Kent, you're out of your mind."

Which wouldn't be so bad if he weren't constantly doing things as Clark Kent that only Superman could do, like showing up in another city only minutes after he was seen in Metropolis -- or showing Lois and Perry (to win a bet) that he could summon Superman at will, while being conveniently absent once Superman showed up. Or the times when he forgets himself and does his Superman voice while he's supposed to be Clark, which he usually waves away by saying he had a sore throat.

I'm looking forward to The Arrow and The Flash. Other then that nothing for me, I used to watch Supernatural but I gave up on it a couple of seasons ago, I was getting tired of the show and it really felt like it had wore out it's welcome (this was maybe season 7 or 8).
