The Cuphead Show! is inspired by a notoriously difficult indie game from a few years back - which itself was inspired by the "rubber-hose" animation of the 1930s.
The first batch of episodes were recently added to Netflix, with more reportedly on the way.
Also, if some of the comments in the below video are to be believed, the Japanese voice actors for Cuphead and Mugman had themselves played as their respective characters in a playthrough video a couple of years back:
So, anyone here check this series out, and/or is already familiar with the game (or even Cuphead's guest appearance as a Mii Fighter costume in Super Smash Brothers Ultimate)?
