i've got a crazy idea that i have been mulling over since "The Constant":
Could a similar method be used to help Alzheimer's patients to weather the confusion thier disease brings (to a certain extent).
Feel free to tear up the idea based on real experience & knowledge...
The idea is this: if someone, pre-alzheimers, did some things to memorize someone who could be a "constant"...like a time-progressed photo of a child, so that in the future, when they feel like they are "bouncing in time" like Desmond, they could recall that photo and that thought (i.e. trust their child, or the person that looks like them when they are grown up), so that even though they are confused, they know enough to trust their child.
Maybe i've just been watching too much sci-fi...but it would be an interesting experiment...
