I was watching the episode "The Conscience of the King" recently and noticed something I hadn't noticed before. In her final scene Lenore Karidian appears to be displaying symptoms of the herpes virus.

This got me thinking.. did she catch the virus from Captain Kirk? He did kiss her earlier in the episode. In reality the actress probably caught the virus when she kissed Shatner, but this thread isn't about facts, it's about speculation and opinions.
