I've been waiting for months for this to cross the pond and somehow it's slipped into the Netflix queue without me noticing. :alienblush:

I've done the first 2 eps and am still intrigued, although I totally called Hani as an informer once I heard about her previous tussle with the cybercrimes unit. :klingon:

Hope the remainder of the miniseries is as promising as the start. :bolian:

At the very minimum, I now know how to pronounce Canberra. ;)

Well, I binged the rest today and speaking as a computer illiterate, it was pretty good. I'd love to hear from computer savvy posters about the computer hacking going on in the miniseries, otherwise it was suspenseful. I have a lot of other less computer-oriented questions, so if anyone else has watched it, please feel free to chime in.

Here's a Q&A with Lucy re: the miniseries.

Evidently there will be a 2nd season... corruption never sleeps in Canberra.

I never binge watch anything, and I binged watched this whole thing. I thought it was brilliant and entertaining, a worthwhile watch for mystery fans. It had enough layers to be complex without drowning the viewer in minutiae.

I thought the older brother (Ned) was a very sympathetic character without being an overt crusader, and Ashley Zukerman (the younger brother) did a fantastic job. Jesse was kind of unlikable but you understood why he was unable to relate to other people. Overall, the acting was so good, and I really felt like all the characters (except maybe the main baddie) were very well developed. Nobody was pure evil, and they did a great job of showing what motivated each person to act as they did.

Perhaps season 2 will flush out the baddies more, since they've already spent a lot of time on the brothers, the politico friend and the Iranian hacker.
