The Cleveland and Family Guy Show

I think that The Cleveland Show will be as good as Family Guy once the show gets started we get more used to the characters and the setting. We can tell right off that the shows are very similar. Last nights Family Guy was a winner with the fans I think and would be hard to beat.

I think you're going to find this BBS is not a very Seth McFarlane-friendly environment. Most threads about his shows here turn into bash fests pretty quick.

Personally, I do think a few of FG's random cutaways are funny, but it's far more miss than hit, and I've never laughed once...ever, at either American Dad or The Cleveland show. I gave each of them 4 episodes, and now I'm done.

I don't agree TC.

We have 3 shows here with a few small differences, but the same basic brand of humor and the exact same animation style. I really believe people are going to start getting burned out on this stuff.

I liked Family Guy okay for awhile, but I feel like the show had run it's course a few years ago. I never really connected with American Dad. Now we have another clone show with Cleveland...I think there is gonna be a backlash and people are going to start losing interest in all of this.

I think they should have stayed focused on Family Guy and tried to bring back some of the quality the earlier seasons had instead of branching out and diluting it with other half baked copies.

I still like Family Guy but I get the complaints against it. I think American Dad has really come into its own and is a pretty good show now (didn't care for it initially). Cleveland Show isn't wowing me at all so far but I'll stick with it and hope it improves.

I'm actually enjoying Cleveland so far. It really is funny, and reminds me of what used to make Family Guy great.

The Cleveland Show is okay, fairly mediocre for me, but far better than American Dad, in my opinion of course. I still have a soft spot for Family Guy and I want to see it improve. Seasons 1 & 2 used to make me laugh til I cried.

I love family guy and American dad and have only seen two episodes of the cleaveland show, so I can't give a good opinion on it. The two episodes I saw were funny , but not hilarious like I get from family guy. I think peoples big problem with family guy is the pop culture references, I mean some of them go back to the 70's. I am 30 , so I get about 95-98% of the references, I think the younger audiance maybe gets about 50-60%.I wish they would have kept American dad and family guy and bring back futurama and king of the hill

My views are basically the same as Mr. Light's. Family Guy's a lot less consistent than it used to be, but it still makes me laugh. American Dad I stopped watching halfway through its first season, but I gave it another chance about a year ago and now it's probably my favourite of the three. It definitely has come into its own, and it has more of the heart that the others lack. As for Cleveland...I'll usually have it on as there's nothing else decent to watch during that timeslot, but overall, meh.

the conway twitty bullcrap was when FG lost me and the last season the humour was pretty self indulgent. I have always liked cleveland so will be willing to give hsi show a shot.

The best thing with the Cleveland show is the Bear character whose name escapes me. I don't think Cleveland can carry a series, especially one where all the female characters sound like nails on a chalkboard!

American Dad has really come into it's own. I absolutely love it.

Family Guy is just a piece of shit now. Really? Rape jokes and abusing women? Is that what they do now?

I haven't watched any of the Cleveland show, the first one didn't catch me.

The last Cleveland Show was the first one I thought was actually funny. His dad (who he hates) has sex with Madea who turns out to be a dude in drag and then they're making horrible sexual comments after wards and Cleveland keeps vomiting in horror. And then he gets to break the news to his dad.

Although I enjoy The Cleveland Show, I actually find Tim the Bear to be an overrated character. Lester the Redneck is by far one of the best characters on the show.

i love FG, but one of the other 2 def need to get the axe. if all the attention needed to produce both American Dad and Cleveland were focused onto one or the other, there would be great improvement. as is Cleveland is wholesomely dissapointing, and American Dad, while improved from its beginnings, still hasnt lived up to its potential.
