The Children of "Miri" - Where Are They Now?

USS Triumphant

Vice Admiral

I was just looking over the full cast and crew for the TOS episode "Miri". There's some interesting stuff I never realized, mostly to do with the kids. The biggest thing, to me, being that I never realized that the little black boy in the army helmet went on to become the Johnny-Cochrane-esque lawyer on Seinfeld - or that he's playing John Jones on Smallville now!

I recently watched an excellent spaghetti western from Lucio Fulci called Four of the Apocalypse. Michael J. Pollard (Jahn) was in it, as one of the main characters. This movie was made about ten years after his Star Trek role. More recently I noticed him in Rob Zombie's House of 1000 Corpses.

Of course Miri herself went on to live in a big old mansion with Jim Hutton & despite being warned by Uncle Charlie, opened the fireplace in the basement.

She should've listened to Ole Charlie, to say the least.

Phil Morris's father was Greg Morris who played Barney on Mission: IMPOSSIBLE! ... which was also a DesiLu production shot on the same lots that TOS was shot on.

Phil Morris returned to Trek several times including as the cadet who asked Kirk if there would be a celebration when the 1701 was limping back to port in STIII:TSFS ("God knows we've paid for it with our dearest blood") as well as episodes of DS9 and VOY. (He also played Barney's son in the short-lived Mission: IMPOSSIBLE! revival back in the mid-to-late '90s...Greg Morris guested as Barney, reuniting with Peter Graves back then.)
