BTW_ has anyone else noticed that Summer Glau has VERY limited range as an actress....

Are you sure it's her and not her roles?

yeah, i concur, her roles have been somewhat limiting, her resume has consisted mostly of genre shows and almost like shes being typecast into characters who are special or who have a special ability or are "human weapons" or well, crazy.

Like when she guest starred on the 4400, she played a character who had an ability, but was crazy and forced people to keep dancing in a 50s themed diner. Hell River Tam was insane in the membrane as well.

If Sara Connor Chronicles were to get canceled (knock on wood) i think she should persue finding roles away from that. But who knows, we'll probably see her on Chuck as another super hot spy trying to drive a wedge between Chuck and Sara.

But if not, I can see her on a show like Dexter or Mad Men.

LOL

I'd like to see her try something else.... prove em wrong but hey...

jax.. I'll watch my back ;>))

This show is so clearly not written by geeks. It's like the writers look up what is geeky on Wikipedia then drop random names and terms with no context to disguise it. I don't know a single geek in real life who is that low functioning. Heroes, How I Met Your Mother, and Chuck are clearly written by geeks(in the case of Heroes stoners as well). The geeks on those shows are normal. If anything I find this show insulting.

Oh, please. It's not a freaking documentary.

Do shows really need to put disclaimers out to say "This character may not be exactly like tons of people you know. This character may be pieces of personalities the writer may have met, may have just made up in his/her head, or was selected by the manatees in the tank. The story may not have actually happened in real life. The staff and crew of the show may or may not endorse the choices made by the characters." Really - do we need this stuff??

For what it's worth, I know a lot of people (many of 'em right here on this board, by golly!) that have pieces of these characters' personalities. No, I don't know a Sheldon clone, but I know a number of people who have some of his personality quirks/character flaws (or pluses, depending on your point of view). If you're really insulted, maybe the characters hit a little too close to home, eh?

Back to the episode - it was hilarious.

You know, I'm a physicist and I think this show is hilarious. That's not because I think they are showing what physicists are like, but they take a general trend among natural scientists (that's quite true) and exaggerate ... a lot.
I like this show as it is because it's funny and has interesting (if generally unreal) characters.

Personally, I identify with Leonard a bit, especially those bits about the rivalry between experimental and theoretical physicists.
(Minus the hot neighbor that comes over all the time. :()

She wasn't very convincing in this episode either, although she was basically playing herself, which should be easy I'd guess...

Maybe she would have been better if the writers had actually given her something to do in this episode instead of just saying yes, no and that's sweet.
