This show is so clearly not written by geeks. It's like the writers look up what is geeky on Wikipedia then drop random names and terms with no context to disguise it. I don't know a single geek in real life who is that low functioning. Heroes, How I Met Your Mother, and Chuck are clearly written by geeks(in the case of Heroes stoners as well). The geeks on those shows are normal. If anything I find this show insulting.

I'm sorry to say that I do know several people who are, literally, like these characters in the physics department of my university.
 
^ Ditto. The show camps them up but for the most part I know these guys. (Dean... I am talking about you man! :rommie: Next time I won't take your spot on the sofa, I promise.)

And just an FYI about Sheldon's picture, that is from a CBS publicity photo. I couldn't find a good one (that was at the right resolution) where he wasn't smiling. Maybe next season...

I am also looking forward to tonight. I love Summer... even though I am not a big fan of her latest show. She will always be River to me.

I honestly laughed my ass off at this one. Something about it clicked on all cylinders and Summer Glau (looking lovely as ever) was just a bonus.

Maybe I was just in the mood to be amused, but I was WELL amused (which continued with HIMYM). :techman:
 
The episode was pretty... well, dry. I'm glad they gave the "sidekicks" more of a story, but it was just the same thing all over again. Raj can't talk to women, Wolowitz is a creepy jerk. And there was absolutely no reason to have Summer Glau there other than to make a somewhat lame Terminator joke.

I know one guy who behaves more or less like Sheldon, only much more annoying. He's too from physics department ...

Anyway, this episode was great. Sheldon's insanity and a complete detachment from the real world never fails to amuse me. :)

I was supposed to tape this for me oldest daughter last night (she and I are *HUGE* fans) but I've had a bad cold the past several days and been sleeping all day, and I just slept right through it - and I forgot to set my archaic VCR to record it!

When my daughter finds out she's gonna Terminate me!!!

Hulu doesn't play TBBT and because of PC problems so ittorrentbay is not an opition right now!

Crap! I could just cry... :(
 
She wasn't very convincing in this episode either, although she was basically playing herself, which should be easy I'd guess...
