After Penny and Leonard's great date, Leonard tries to kiss Penny in the hallway and realizes the guys have secretly rigged camera's to spy on them.

Humm... I thought I read a synopsis that said the date would go less than well... Hope I'm wrong.
 
I thought it was ok. Nothing special.

I was actually hoping we'd get a chance to see the date, not just the aftermath. After the season long build-up to the date, I was expecting a bit more.

I hope the storyline isn't over. I'd like to think the nerd can get the girl for once.
 
Dammit. Work is killing me right now so I missed this one. I am also still getting used to central time too. Both make watching anything on in the first hour of primetime (that would be 7pm here) impossible. I will download it later if I get a moment.

I am also disappointed to see the discussion turn-out on this one. I thought more people would be watching. Oh well... at least a few people got to see my nifty custom banner. I am very proud of my atom.

I am glad we didn't see the date so they can make tons of references to it later

I loved Sheldon in this ep, and they finally built more sets!

And the boob shot of Penny :D
 
It was excellent.
I haven't laughed like this in awhile. The jokes were spot on, Sheldon was... well.. Sheldon. And that's a good thing. In fact I think he gets more Sheldon all the time.
Him telling a made-up joke was hilarious.
i should watch it again soon :guffaw:
 
I discovered the show through the Season One DVD's and now love it so I was really looking forward to last night's episode. It did not disappoint!
 
I sadly missed this. I didn't get home till HEROES was nearly about to start, the show not the recap event.
Damn you work!
 
I like this show well enough to worry about its ratings. Way behind Dancing, at 5.7/9, but it beat the Heroes clip show and Terminator.

It seems a little early for Penny to be worrying about being suitable for Leonard. And it leads to her being the one who screws up!

Looking forward to Penny and Leslie meeting.

I noticed that Raj's kitchen looked awfully lot like Leonard/Sheldon's, down to the fridge and the dishwasher (or stove). The color scheme was different but it was still striking. Same building?

And what's with the elevator?
 
I doubt Raj lives in the same building

Was it the same set? I have it tivo'd... I'll have to check it out
(well, not tivo, but it's on my dvr!)
 
I've always assummed Raj lives elsewhere and his conversation with Sheldon last night seemed to confirm this. Sheldon commented on Raj's building being old and Raj replied that it used to be a watch factory. That conversation doesn't make any sense if it's the same one Sheldon lives in.
 
I'm suspecting we'll actually see their date in a future episode in flashbacks. Just too many good possibilities not to show us.

I would have shown up to this thread earlier, but I didn't have time to watch the episode until tonight. My boyfriend and I just finished the first season's DVDs about a week ago, so we were excited for this premiere. My boyfriend is working on his PhD in Physics, so you can imagine how much he enjoys this show.

I thought the episode was good. It's hard for me to judge because our DVR messed up and took out a chunk of the middle of the episode. We got to see it through clips on the website, but it made everything feel disjointed. But overall the episode was enjoyable.
 
My only fear is that they drag out this relationship stuff for far too long. I just hope they end the story one way or another and just try something else.

I think they have already, at Penny's cheesecake restaurant.
