The best episode of Voyager - Part Two

Projections
Maneuvers
Prototype

Meld
Dreadnought
Death Wish
Lifesigns
Deadlock

Bye, bye Resolutions! Not terrible, but not great either IMO.

Prototype. Boring episode, and last time I watched it, I wasn't able to sit through to the end.

I'm removing Lifesigns. It was (IMHO) a kind of dull episode, and at its best moments it just seemed sad and depressing. =/

(Oops, I may have mixed up the rules for different threads/games. If I did, just ignore my post, reinstate Lifesigns and carry on.)

I'm going to fall behind now. I'm only a little into season two as of today.
I'm totally a fan of Voyager now, even if the rest of the series is just mediocre. Even the X-files was only really consistently good for a couple of years and it's a TV classic in my book. But for those two years....man it was good.

Alliances. It's nice how Janeway is taught the lesson that she shouldn't hold on to Starfleet rules and comes out believing that she should hold to them all the more tightly. :wtf:

Farewell "Persistence of Vision". ANOTHER hallucination plot?
Aw, I like that one. It's the one where B'Elanna hallucinates getting it on with Chakotay. It's interesting that they never showed what Chakotay's hallucination was.

Deadlock

Going to take out Dreadnought this time. I like Torres a lot, but I had a hard time remembering what this episode was about. That, and the episodes left are a lot better.

Death Wish

I'm going to have to eliminate Deadlock this time around. Not only was it tremendously predictable as to how the double Voyager plot will be resolved, it also bothered me that copy!Janeway pointedly hits the reset button in-universe by sending Kim and Naomi through the rift. The episode could've been a lot more if there'd been lasting consequences.

Projections
Meld
Death Wish

I'll take out Maneuvers. Basically just comic book action, not as deep or thoughtful as the other episodes left. And I've never liked the I-impregnated-myself-with-your-DNA twist at the end.

Projections
Meld

I'll remove Death Wish. Q's arc on VOY never appealed to me. This is his best appearance on the show, but that still doesn't save it for me.

My girlfriend and I are watching Voyager now, rewatch for me but the first time for her. And I forgot how good Projections really is. So, good win!

I have to agree. I'm going on memory from some time ago, but Q was created as a foil for Picard. Plus as far as "god-like" aliens go, Star Trek could sometimes be very cartoonish. They are usually good for knocking around the crew and playing the evil genie, but I wasn't interested in the beings themselves. By the time Voyager came along, what could they do with Q? They had to get more serious. The less I knew about the Q, the easier it was to believe in them as antagonists.
Still, leave it to Voyager to try a new angle at least.

Deadlock should have won.
Despite the predictable swap it wasn't predictable that they would have destroyed the fully functional Voyager...bad call. It was the best episode of the season and part of what made Voyager a smarter series.
