The Barbarian and The Troll is a new puppet fantasy/comedy series that premiered on Nickelodeon earlier this month.
Here's the description from Nick:

Evan, a spirited bridge troll in search of excitement and a place to perform his songs, finds adventure when he meets Brendar, a fierce female warrior on a quest to avenge an attack on her family.
The only cast member who's name I recognize is Rick & Morty's Spencer Grammer as Brendar.

I watched the first episode last week and I thought it was a lot of silly fun, and I look forward to watching more. They're only up to Episode 3, so it should be pretty easy to get caught up.

Definitely has a "Jim Henson" feel to it, but I didn't recognize any names (not that it means much as I'm horribly out of the loop). I caught the premiere but then forgot about it the next two Fridays. Thankfully, the second and third episodes were repeated Sunday night on NickToons, so I'm caught up. I'm certainly getting a good chuckle from it!

Yeah, I was getting a bit of a Henson vibe from it too. I watched the second episode this morning, which seemed to set up the story arc for rest of the season.
