The Avery Brooks narrated audiobook of Roots is out now.

I can't think of any better to narrate the very first audiobook adaptation of Roots: The Saga of an American Family than Avery Brooks. The book itself, which has been out of print for three years or so, was also released on Tuesday.

The DVD is out again as well. There are loads of Star Trek stars in it (not that important, but interesting anyway) like LeVar Burton, Ben Vereen, Thalmus Rasulala, Madge Sinclair, John Schuck etc

Does anyone know if the DVD is just the 1977 series or does it include Roots: The Next Generations and Roots: The Gift a well?

I saw it in stores yesterday (I live in the United States), and its the slim case. The entire series of 8 discs is as thin as the packaging for the Fight Club 2 disc DVD set.. It's the original. "The Next Generation" and "The Gift" are not included.
