I am back to this forum after many years. As a teenager I developed a fledgling audio series called Star Trek: Pioneers -- it is still googleable after 10 years of age and parts of it are even tolerable to listen to. I was a big fan of Star Trek: Hidden Frontier as a youngun as well. TNG was my first memory as I came to states as a youngster from Korea.
I decided, between work and my flu-infested slumber, that I wanted to finally sit down and start writing my "book". Really, it is a story that will get as long as I wish it to be. I'll post it in installments in easy to-ready lengths. The first is the Prologue.
The "book" will follow the exploits of CPT Demetri Noh of Federation M.E.R.C.I. Fleet, the Enterprise crew, and a new threat on the horizon. It takes place shortly after the events of Nemesis in the prime timeline of Star Trek. As noted in the title, there will be some focus in the practice of medicine in this drama, some politics due to my mood, government conspiracy. Some of the moral issues we face today as humanity will make its way to the center stage here like all good Trek finds a way to do.
Gene Roddenberry's universe isn't alone in this story, however. Please keep an open mind for the power of the force.
This is not mean to be a childish afterthought of a story, but a serious take at some serious issues with the added advantage of the ultimate science fiction universes to pull material from.
I hope you enjoy! Please feel free to reach out, comment, and perhaps help in the future if I can think of a way to best tell this story with others as it kind of just flows out of my brain on to the keyboard.
