I preferred it when search engines didn't use AI. I'm being fed so much inaccurate slop wasting my time nowadays.
I did use Claude the other day to answer a question for a friend about how Claude can assist people working in his domain of expertise. For some reason, he seemed very reticent to do this for himself. Perhaps he feared learning that he knows less than he thought he did. I didn't know enough to be able to tell whether Claude's response was simplistic or trite, even were it correct.

The YouTube rules state that AI-generated video will be demonetised if they lack human creativity. I wonder just how successful they are at detecting that.

Given the gigantic amount of data that gets uploaded I assume they indeed have A.I. to figure it out, there's no way any human or team of humans can sift through.
According to Wikipidia there's more than 500 hours of video uploaded per second and 14.8 Billion videos on Youtube and 2.7 Billion Montly active users, so yes, it can only be done by A.I.
As for hit or miss, no idea but again if you look at how much data there's going through that system it's hardly a surprise that it isn't perfect.

You do realise that A.I. doesn't create things out if thin air, it steals from those so called soon-to-be-obsoleted meatstick media creators who's ideas and music gets scraped and stuffed into a database which is then used to train an A.I.
So yes, real creators need to be compensated for the the work they made and which is then abused and stolen by the A.I. companies.
To be clear, if you ask and A.I. to emulate a Moog System 55 because you'll never be able to get your hands on one and you want that sound in a project you're creating yourself, fine, no problem.
If you're in need of some pointers about the structure of songs in a genre because you want to create a song yourself but need a bit of guidance, okay.
If you lazily just write a prompt and let an A.I. write a song for you using the scraped material it has in its database then no, you don't deserve any pay because others did the work.

Yes, that's called inspiration, and yes YOU study something, and then YOU create something based on what you have learned, YOU still have to write it, think about how to implement what YOU have learned.
When you just let an A.I. do the work then there's nothing of that, it's just an empty copy.

An “empty copy” or not, I still get more pleasure watching AIRetroRewind videos than I do watching 90% of the media product created under more conventional circumstances.
I create AI-generated music, but I would never expect to receive any income from it - especially as I use Suno, which I believe is getting sued. Sometimes I hear echoes of songs by well -established artists leaking through. I certainly wouldn't bother uploading any of my stuff to YouTube.
