The Animated series (It has no special place on BBS)

The animated series is discussed in the Original Series forum. I'm sure this thread will get moved there soon.

And yes, it has plenty of fans hereabouts, myself included.

...In theory, if the movies were divided in three (TOS, TNG, Reboot), one could argue that the first category could absorb TAS because it's another post-TOS era product aimed at launching a proper spinoff some day (only it never mutated into a big screen movie, unlike some other things). But TAS certainly has little to do with ST:Insurrection...

Not to mention that the threefold division would have meant doctrinal wars with ST:Generations.

I love it and the music always makes me nostalgic for when I caught a few episodes on French TV in Winnipeg back in the winter of 1988.

Wherever you put it, it's got its gems(such as 'Yesteryear')and some good stories. Why indeed not look at it as Season 4-5...

I have the Animated Series DVD set. I watched it through once because 1) someone gave it to me, 2) I had never really seen any of it, 3) for the record.

I haven't watched it again.

I got TAS for Christmas. So far I've only watched Yesteryear, and I really enjoyed it. I was impressed with the little touch of Amanda looking sad when young Spock declares his intention to fully embrace the Vulcan way. :(

I was expecting TAS for Christmas but got Spock Uhura and Kirk (the Barbie versions) so I'm still thrilled - Mr. OldestRedShirtEver knows my#! So I'll just have to get it for myself ! Either way I've won!
