New Amazing Race Tonight!

Gorilla? Gorilla?? Gorilla??? (Thailand)

Teams take a walk on the wild side…or rather, the wild side walks on them. One team finds itself at the mercy of a slow moving Thai shopkeeper. A first place team finds itself in the penalty box—and their victory in jeopardy and in the extreme temperature of Thailand, one racer collapses from exhaustion.

Dang, someone even told Mike and Mel it was at the zoo and they said no! Gotta listen to the locals on this race

A decent leg, but I was sorry to see Mel and Mike go.

I can understand why Mel and Mike decided to do the fishing boat challenge instead of the rickshaw, but I wonder why Kisha and Jennifer chose that task. Even taking the heat into account, it looked to be the more difficult (and time-consuming) of the two.

^ versus navigating unkown streets though, at least at the boat you didn't have to go anywhere

choices choices, i woulda gone with the rickshaw task as well

But you still had drive a fair distance to get to the boats, and not being in a part of town frequented by tourists, apparently the taxi drivers weren't all that familiar with the place (I suppose most of the contestants wouldn't know that, though). The rickshaws were right there and they only had to find a location 2 miles away- seems like common sense would tell you someone milling around on the streets would know the way.

Good episode last night. Hope Margie is Ok. Wish Mel and Mike weren't eliminated because they were one of the good teams this year. Now I'm not sure who I want to see win it all. Probably the cheerleaders even though their attitude last night left a lot to be desired.

Well that sucked. I was hoping they would stick around because they were my favorite team. I don't really like any of the teams that are left...maybe the redheads, but they were incredibly rude in this last episode, yelling at all the locals impatiently. Margie and Luke are alright, but my opinion of them has fallen for some reason.

I was sad to see Mel and Mike go. They pretty much sealed their own fate by going the wrong way and just kind of fudging around before heading to the zoo.

It almost looked like the stunt guys might finally complete a leg without screwing up, but they couldn't quite pull it off. They were nearly an hour ahead of the other teams at that point, too.

I'm glad I won't have to listen to Mel grunt and groan through every task now, but other than that, they didn't really bother me. I couldn't help but laugh when Mark and Mike had to sit through two thirty-minute penalties. Serves them right.

Jaime was really being a you-know-what to the locals tonight. None of them cares that you're in a race, Jaime, and just because they speak a different language, that doesn't mean they're stupid.

The arrogance involved in hating the locals for not speaking your language when you can't be arsed to learn any other language is impressive.
