The cynic in me suspects that they picked this as a non-elimination round so they don't lose the Big Brother team this early on...

I was thinking non-elimination because of the beer.. That surprised me because it really opens the show up to criticism about irresponsible drinking. I'm not PC and personally think it was fun but the show has historically pushed itself as family fun to watch. Barfing beer and stumbling doesn't fit that idea.

It figures that as soon as I predict the cops will be gone they finally get it together.
I'm surprsied some of the teams had such a tough time downing the beer. But if you don't like beer I guess it could be a challenge. I love beer, so that wouldn't be a problem for me. I might have struggled with the subway system- I have very little experience with mass transit.
But since there's a mandatory rest period at the end of the leg it shouldn't matter if it's a non-elimination leg or not. It does make sense to have the drinking at the end of the leg, though.
