That Wizard and that bloke from Star Trek...

If you watched the BAFTAs on Sunday you'll realise that Jonathan Ross was introducing Sir Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart. They are doing 'Waiting for Godot' and we have tickets to see them in Brighton in March :techman::). Such a wonderful opportunity to see two brilliant actors. And yes I will be hanging around the stage door, we're at the matinee so I reckon they'll have to go out sometime:guffaw:.
Trouble is 'Waiting for Godot' is quite high-brow for me. I've read a couple of synopsis but would appreciate any insight anyone could give, and a couple of sound-bites for the cocktails in the interval wouldn't go amiss:lol:.
Very excited:)

(don't know if I should have posted this on media but I only really post here and if painting's ok then surely plays:klingon:)

Rather than Gandalf & Picard, when they came on together I thought "Xavier and Magneto!" :D

Pssst. Godot never shows.

Sorry if that's a spoiler. :D

You bastard!

Enjoy the play K'ehleyr!

The standard Cliff Notes for Godot would revolve around whether there is an objective Virtue, whether the journey itself is sufficient justification for making it, and other such existential issues.

Oh, and to quote Adrian Mole, whether Vladimir & Estragon sound like oral contraceptive pills...

Sounds pretty cool. My cousin and her boyfriend were involved in a local production of "Waiting for Godot" a few years back, which is how I saw it. It was... weird, but mostly entertaining. Plus it made me understand the MST3K parody, "Waiting for Gorgo", which is now hilarious to me.

I suddenly got a flashback of my Modern Civilization final exam. Waiting for Godot was the subject of the essay question.

I know! Do you reckon they'd be pissed if I took 'The Final Stand' dvd down for them to sign:lol:?
Seen as they were in The Last Stand, yes they might be ;)

Oh my God:guffaw:. Surely that be worth donut of the year award.
*Hangs head in shame*
Excuse - I was very excited and typing without thinking!

Yes, I've read some of the Freudian and Jung explainations, but I prefer the Adrian Mole idea:lol:

It's all in the title. Waiting for Godot.

Yes, they have a long wait...he never does show himself :p

I'm currently writing "Waiting for Godot II: This Time He's REALLY Coming!"

It's been done:p. "Godo je došao (Godot Arrived)."
Doesn't say what form he takes though:lol: Probably the police asking them to 'move along please'

I just googled that, If a green dinosaur appears I am going to be most shocked:lol:
