Thanks to the authors and fans!

Right now I am sitting at the kitchen table catching up on one of my favorites websites and discussion areas. In doing so I feel a welling up of my heart. Yes, it is corny but I do appreciate the fans posting here and especially the treklit authors that are so active. Other scifi websites might see 2-3 postings a day, if that. Such access to great fans and the authors is something I have not seen. I know some fans/authors disagree with each other but at the end of the day we all have something in common.

As a middle age man (46) Star Trek is something that brings me back to fond memories of childhood while at the same carries me to the future.

Having said all that, I really appreciate this forum and the fans and authors that frequent it. Thanks! :bolian:

I'm right there with you. There were alot of times over the past few years, when I was having alot of (still mostly) unexplained medical problems, and no matter how miserable I was I always looked forward to this coming here, and reading Trek Lit. Those two things really played a role in keeping me from completely losing it.

Aw, I love this thread! And I quite agree. Many thanks to all lovers of Trek Lit, both writers and readers, and anyone who keeps a little 24th Century universe alive in their imaginations.

Ditto.

I share your appreciation, Smitty. :) This place has certainly become quite important to me since I arrived about 16 months ago. Both this forum and the site as a whole. It's been wonderful to exchange so many words and laughs with so many interesting people, fellow fans and of course the authors who post here. Even those people I rarely "talk" with or those I've argued with - I've grown very fond of the familiar names and faces--er, avatars...

And, like some of you have already said is the case for yourselves, Trek lit has certainly done a lot to get me through some difficult times. :)

I have been reading Trek books for a long time. I frequented this board for a long while before I joined (maybe two years or more) and I have been a member for over 7 years now. I may not post all that often but I do visit and read various threads every single day. I appreciate having a place to escape to and read about one of my favorite hobbies.
