Thanks to Matt Smith, bow ties are cool (again)...

Makes one wonder. If the show had this level of popularity when Colin Baker became the Doctor, would British teens all start dressing like him? Would the British style spread across the globe so that we all had to wear patchwork coats and clown pants to look cool?

An entire planet emulating the Sixth Doctor? Ah, bliss. :)

I would hope people would have more common sense than that! Ewwww! I think I need some brain soap now. :wtf:

Bow ties make sense - you can't get them caught (or have others stick them) in car doors. There was some logic to his choice. :)

Then again, I think Matt Smith would look good in just about anything. :bolian:

Only if the planet in question was Alderaan ;)

No. Bow ties are not and will never be cool again. No matter what the Telegraph claims.

I hate when clothing fads start because of a tv show. It makes the people adopting said clothing look extremely pathetic. That said I do like Matt Smiths look for the show but I dread people imitating it on the streets.(Thankfully I doubt this is going to spread beyond the UK.

This whole story reminds me of the second Matrix film. Just before that film opened a young guy was walking down a street near my house. It was early May about 1:00pm. This guy was wearing a long black coat with sunglasses and his haired combed simliar to Neros. It was obvious he thought he was the ONE.:guffaw:

I hate ties in general and avoid them like the plague - bow ties even more so. They are evil...

However, I would certainly wear a Doctor9 jacket if I had one...
