Terry Wogan is leaving the breakfast show - Wake up with Wogan - on Radio 2.

I can't believe it. He's ALWAYS been the voice of the morning, since the dawn of time

Chris Evans is taking over in the new year.

I like Chris Evans but he's not TEL!!!!!

Although as it's his own decision to retire... I'm so depressed. Is nothing sacred any more!

They say that Simon Mayo will take over from Chris Evens in the Drive-Time slot. I'd rather see Simon Mayo on the Breakfast show and leave Chris where he is. This reminds me of when I was a Radio 1 listener in the morning but turned to Radio 2 when Sara Cox took over; couldn't stand her, at least not at that hour of the day. I fear I may feel the same about CE in the morning in 2010. As long as they don't move Ken Bruce!!

I think this is a good thing. I find Terry Wogan almost intolerable! I rotate my breakfast show periodically and Simon Mayo would give me another option.

I was gutted to hear this. But at least he'll still be on on Saturdays, by all accounts. And Chris Evans will be better than that talentless gasbag Chris Moyles. My hatred of him burns with the fire of a thousand suns.

I'm kinda sad to hear this, but to be honest I'm not much of a fan of Sir Tel's radio show, although I am a fan of the man himself.

I am glad the job is going to Chris Evans - his Drive Time show is one of a few Radio 2 shows I genuinely enjoy. As far as breakfast shows goes, the move might finally give me a viable alternative to Nicky Campbell at last.

But if Simon Mayo is taking over from Evans on Drive Time (or wherever)... what will happen to the Kermode and Mayo Movie Reviews on Five Live?

And yes - don't move Ken Bruce!

If they're shuffling the shows, they'd damn well better not touch Ken Bruce and Popmaster. Afternoons without Steve Wright would also feel bizarre.

On the other hand, the sooner they get rid of Jeremy 'upmarket Jeremy Kyle' Vine, the better. Smug, oily, patronising creep.

Any chance they might bring Johnnie Walker back to drivetime? I much preferred him to Evans.
