"The End of Time" has that notable scene where the Doctor hints at the eldritch abominations called into existence - deliberately or otherwise - as a result of the Time War. Creatures so horrible even H. P. Lovecraft would go mad thinking up tongue-twisting adjectives to describe them: The Skaro Degradations, the Horde of Travesties, the Nightmare Child, The Could-Have-Been King and his army of Meanwhiles and Never Weres. What other terrors might have come into being as a result of screwing with the timestream? How might the Daleks regard the Doctor's weapons, as Davros describes them: companions like the Short-Skirted Ditz and Terrible Screamer, the Everlasting Hedonist or Shag-a-lot Man. Perhaps previous incarnations of the Doctor were involved: The Neverending Scarf and the Eyesore Coat of Many Colors, The Cliffhanger King with his Army of What-The-F**ks and Holy S**ts! Let's think up weapons of the Time War!
The celery of doom!! I'm pretty sure the Sixth Doctor's outfit is banned under the Shadow Proclamation. Some weapons are just too horrible...
The Mrs of Robinson's The endless pit! The tinfoil nemesis I always thought that was stupid scene. RTD just threw out a bunch of nonsense words.
It would be interetsing to see a storyline about an old Time War weapon/entity that escapes from the pocket and starts doing it's mass-destruction thing somewhere. "The Nightmare Child" sounds the most promising of the lot, but the Horde of Travesties could be decent and the Skaro Degradations could be an unusual Dalek/Davros story.
Personally, I thought it was just the idiosyncratic naming convention of a "sufficiently advanced" civilization, not unlike the names given to spacecraft in Ian Banks's Culture.
