Terminator: SCC - S2 Second Half Speculation Thread (SPOILERS) >>

Tim

Vice Admiral
Admiral
To help fill the gap while we await new episodes starting February 13th, here's a place to speculate about what the remaining nine episodes of the season have in store.

To start it off, do folks think John Henry will become Cromartie once again? If the T-888 truly has three processors, perhaps the two redundant processors in Cromartie contain a software backup that might kick in once accessed by John Henry's burgeoning intelligence. Right now, Cromartie's threat level is directly proportional to the length of cable attached to the back of his head. ;)

And, will we see more of Cameron's struggles with her chip damage or will Sarah's obsession with the three dots dominate?

The three dots will continue to be a plotline. Brain damaged Cameron will be revisited. John will continue his relationship with Riley. Finally, a major character will still die at seasons end. According to Josh Friedman a few weeks ago in TVGuide.

Ah, the Three Dots. Are they a logo? The shape of an HK? A star pattern used to orient oneself in time? Or is Sarah just letting it get to her?

All of the above, perhaps?

Thanks for the tidbits, nx. They sound quite interesting!

With no recent TSCC news, I've been listening to the soundtrack album. Manson's "Samson and Delilah" is a great track.

I'm gonna be real dissapointed if derek is the one who bites it. he my fav character on the show, and i have a bad feeling he's toast. If anyone is gonna get it, it should be Ellison the vile betrayer. I wouldn't mind Jesse getting offed as well. she annoys the shit out of me.

He has filmed scenes with Jonathan Jackson. Jonathan Jackson plays Kyle Reese. He also says that these scenes take place in the present.

Over Christmas break, when we had the two bright planet "stars" in the night sky, we were driving down to my sister's house in Nashville and I looked up and saw another "3rd star" in a perfect triangle with the other two planets and I was like "the 3 dots!!!" and I was wondering "what the hell, is there another planet showing up now?" then after a while, I noticed that one of them was blinking and moving slightly....turned out to be an airliner...*DOH!* coming in for landing at the Nashville airport.

You can't spend so much time with a woman that beautiful and not make a pass at her... Ellis and Weaver? I'm just curious what her response would be when the monkey starts trying to rest spit and tongue in her metal maw?

I agree. Having Ellison die would also be a way of having him "atone" for the "sin" of re-animating Cromartie / John Henry.

I also wouldn't mind terribly to see Jesse and Riley go bye-bye.

Heres how it ends...

FOX wins the war against the machines because they cancels SKYNET after season 2

^ Most likely; however, I've been hearing that Warner Brothers is essentially buying TSCC an additional season.

I feel (hope) that we're more likely than not to see an S3 (though perhaps not a full season). I seriously doubt that WB would allow TSCC to be cancelled on the eve of the T4 release. I couldn't think of a better way to generate negative buzz.

The death of a regular will probably be Riley or Weaver, someone that won't upset the original setup.

Is Riley a regular?

Weaver's a possibility, as is Derek. My money's on Ellison. I'm guessing Cromartie/John Henry is going to get medieval on his ass.

Riley is a main character for Season Two. She was made a regular by order of Fox.

My theories for the death

Cameron or Derek Reese will be killed.
Ellison or Riley will be killed.

With the possibility of Kyle Reese still being alive (Dekker had scenes with him in the main time frame) I could see them killing of Derek and maybe replacing him with Kyle. The creator of the show (Josh Friedman) had wanted Kyle Reese back and the mysterious stranger was originally Kyle and not Derek. It was only prevented because the writers convinced him that Kyle still being alive diminished his sacrifice to kill the T-800 in The Terminator. He may have changed his mind.

with regard to Terminator SCC "failings" in season 2, they've now openly said that Fox....in the same old dance of comedy and tragedy....ordered them to make a season of standalone episodes and drop the running storylines they had.

While I'm angry they did this, they did say that Fox finally realized it wasn't working and has relented, and will allow them to return to serialized storytelling which made it work in seasone one.

but is it too late to save the show?
