With every cordless phone I've ever seen, there's a button on the base unit that will cause toe phone to make noise so it's easier to find when it gets lost.
Why don't TV remotes have this kind of technology?
If it was 15 years ago, I wouldn't care. I'd just walk to the TV and do whatever needs to be done. In more recent years however, the remote is needed for full functionality.
My TV, I can actually do everything without the remote normally, but the buttons don't work correctly because it's semi-broken. The volume buttons work, but the others don't.
My VCR has buttons for tapes (stop, rewind, fast-forward, stop/eject, record) and for changing the channel, but I need the remote for anything else.
My DVD player has three buttons on it. If I don't have the remote, it's pretty much unusable.
So yeah, why the hell don't they make lost remotes easier to find?
