I didn't see this so I thought I'd post it...

Ted 2:
Newlywed couple Ted and Tami-Lynn want to have a baby, but in order to qualify to be a parent, Ted will have to prove he's a person in a court of law.

I'll be going to see this tomorrow night. If I missed the discussion thread mods can feel free to close this.

I enjoyed it. It's got a lot of great nerd moments, including some amusing Star Trek and Star Wars stuff. I'm actually surprised how well the Ted movies turn out, Family Guy hasn't been funny in years, and I never really cared for American Dad or The Cleveland Show. And the less said about A Million Ways to Die in the West the better. But the Ted movies are awesome, they got the typical crude insensitivity commonly associated with Seth MacFarlane, but with heart that feels natural and not forced. Definitely a lot better than I was expecting, and actually one of the three movies I've seen this year that I actually found satisfying.

In the Ted universe, teddy bears brought to life by magic had the ability to get married before homosexuals did, they're still however not considered "a person" enough to adopt.

I actually I don't think Ted ever had the right to marry. His marriage just slipped under the government's radar. Remember that the adoption lady tells Ted and Tammi Lynn that their adoption request has caused the government to examine their their situation more closely. After that, Ted gets the letter that their marriage has been annulled because it was not legal in the eyes of the government.

And considering they were married by a Justice of the Peace they personally know, it explains why they didn't have to go through any hassles with the government to get married.

Like the first movie, I thought it was generally good (with some bad spots) with lots of great random gags.

Unfortunately I missed about the jokes because there were a bunch of TEN YEAR OLDS in the back laughing extremely loud at every stupid thing. God that pissed me off. They might have even been younger. I can't believe they were taken in to see a movie where a guy gets dumped with gallons of semen.

Interestingly the local theatres around me have already dropped it in favor of Magic Mike and Terminator...
