I hate to get into this, since it edges into politics, but reportedly Trump is demanding Paramount drop "all DEI" in order to have the merger go forward.

Considering the weirdness in how "DEI" is now interpreted, this could mean huge differences in casting and story construction going forward.

We'll certainly look back on Discovery as the peak of Trek being inclusive.

Those who want a straight, white cast will be thrilled going forward. Fuck them, though.
