Talking to William Shatner One-on-One via Storyfile

I just discovered that Storyfile's virtual William Shatner is now live. So far, I've asked him about his children, wives, and first encounters with Leonard Nimoy and Lucille Ball. He told me he remembers his eldest daughter Leslie storming up the stairs when she was in high school and knowing in that moment that she would be able to take care of herself for the rest of her life. He doesn't recall when he first met Leonard but thinks it must've been on the set of Star Trek, and recalls meeting Lucy only once, briefly, in a craft services line. Also, Star Trek V is his favorite of the Trek movies he did, he hasn't seen any of the new movies but that actor who plays the young Kirk does a great job (and he's rich), Japan has a lot of teas, Yo-Yo Ma and his instrument are one, he pushed Gene to remove Majel, and he wishes he would've met Marlon Brando and Laurence Olivier. You can speak to him via voice or text.

Ha, neat thing! When I asked him when he recorded this, he said in 2021, so this seems to have been in the works for quite a while. I asked him some probably inappropriate things, too, which he doesn't like to answer.

Curiously he’s sitting in front of a different backdrop for me …

I see the same backdrop as you. The screenshot I posted is from an article which shows a prototype. He was recorded in front of a greenscreen.

He comments on how amazed and grateful he is that he's in so much better shape than most people his age.

Ah, gotcha. He is in incredible good shape, he’s right about that. Most of all I admire about him that he always seems to be in such good spirits.

I like how "something that relates to it" is just more of him staring into my soul.
I asked him his favourite dessert. I asked him if Superman could outrun the Flash. And asking him if he likes Star Trek is just him narrating his career.

There are only 378 questions he can answer, all of which are listed in the bottom left popup menu.

"I am Landru. I am he. All that he was, I am. His experience, his knowledge."

"I am not programmed to respond in that area."

"Non sequitur. Your facts are uncoordinated."

"This unit is the ultimate achievement in computer evolution. It will replace man, so man may achieve."

William Shatner has come full circle. On Star Trek, he frequently interrogated bots and AI units that were never quite perfected. Now Shatner has a bot of himself that is in much the same condition. He is truly living in the future. :bolian:

Of course, they'd have a prompt available for Bill's opinion on George Takei. And he's pretty candid on the subject, too.

Haha. It only took 3 questions for him to say it's boring ask me something interesting ..lol .... after I asked about his height and weight....

I did ask his favorite color and of course it was a straight answer. But ultimately earth colors with Greens and blues being his favorite...

He did answer a few questions in a fun way. Asking about TJ Hooker got a long response. He doesn't seem to wanna talk about Greg Evigan and TekWar. :D
