I don’t want to Bogart Warped9’s fantastic thread on unseen TOS miniatures, but the notion of following Captain Daley’s adventures in a pulp serial format has just tickled me too much to resist.
This was a five minute photoshop.
There were a number of proposed episodes during TOS’ run that were rejected for being too stupid, too expensive, too explicit, or too derivative. I can’t think of any better material to base a set of stories off of than those. Only it’s not Kirk, Spock, & McCoy... it’s ‘Cap’ John Daley, skipper of the Astral Queen. Scrapes! Thrills! Green Animal Women! Trying to stay legitimate in the face of all the shady dealing that takes place on the final frontier...
