Susan's Return to Narnia
Prologue
Narnia (At the end of the Telmarine Occupation)
Susan watched and listened as Aslan talked to Peter. It appeared that they were not going to come back to Narnia, after they returned to their own world this time. At least that is what she could make out.
“Daughter of Eve,” Aslan had finished talking to Peter.
“Yes Aslan”
“You will not return to Narnia with your younger siblings, there will be another path”
“What do you mean? I am not coming back to Narnia? And what sort of path?”
“You do not need to know now, but you will know soon”
“Soon? When will that be?”
“I call all times soon! But look for the On-coming Storm”
“On-coming Storm? But what does that mean?” Susan asked. Aslan said nothing and a long moment passed.
Aslan looked at her. She started crying and hugged him.
“You will come to know me in your world, if you look, but I have another name there, you must come to know me by that name” Aslan said.
“Yes Aslan” Susan said, she then went over to Peter, who had been listening to her talk with Aslan, as she had listened to his, and hugged him.
Later
Edmund and Lucy listened as Peter told them what Aslan had said.
“You can't come back never?” they said in dismay.
“Oh, you two are,” answered Peter. “At least, from what he said, I'm pretty sure he means you to get back some day. But not me. He says that I am getting too old. I don't know what is happening with Su, all he said was that she will return to Narnia by another Path, and then he said something about an oncoming storm, but she will not return with you two”
“Oh Peter,” said Lucy. “What awful bad luck. Can you bear it?”
“Well, I think I can,” Peter said.
And so the ancient Kings and Queens of the Narnian House of Pevensie changed back into their school clothes and then went out into the glade, with jeering Telmarines and cheering Narnians and Aslan. They made ready to depart Narnia and go back to their world, the world of the Sons of Adam and Daughters of Eve, to go back to England. They said goodbye to Caspian, Reepicheep, Trumpkin and the other Narnians and to Aslan. They then went through the Doorway back to that world, followed by many Telmarines who would be arriving in the South Pacific.
To be continued.
