Hammer’s adaptation of Susan Hill’s classic ghost story but update it in 3-D.
Jane Goldman (Kick-Ass) is adapting the screenplay and the director is James Watkins (Eden Lake). Production is expected to begin this autumn. Surely if there’s one film that doesn’t need to be made in 3D it’s The Woman In Black. The story is strong enough not to need the 3D gimmick.
The stage play is still running in London after 20 years without any special effects.
