There was a bit of discussion about the last Survivor season here, so I thought I'd open a thread about the new season.

Two episodes in, what do you think?
Imo it's unfortunate that two of the prettiest women were voted out, but the good news is, that there are still a couple left.

I think this season has great potential. Contrary to last season, where I hated half the players and the other half were just dumb, I like most of the competitors this time, and there are a few colourful personalities (Coach...) there too.
My early favourites are Brendan, who seems to be skilled at lying and has a strategic mind, and Jerry, who's just a very cool guy, likable and clearly strong - both mentally and physically (maybe too strong?).

The women haven't shown much personality yet imo, but I'm sure that'll change.

I was glad Carolina was gone first, just because her squeaky voice would drive me up the wall. Candice made me sad though, she had more spunk than most of the girls and would have been more interesting to watch. I was hoping Sierra would go.

I like Brendan, Spencer and Taj so far, though it's still early. I hate Coach, with a passion...he's basically Ace-redux only with more hair and without the (I'm still convinced) fake accent. And Sandy the crazy old lady amuses me.

Your last point is interesting - I find the women have shown a lot more personality than the men so far. I can't differentiate between most of the men yet.

Hm, maybe I'm looking at their boobs too much to be able to listen to them properly.

But I really don't know much about the cute hairdresser, the blonde and the principal yet, and Candace/Carolina got voted out too early to really make an impression on me (although Carolina's voice annoyed me also).

I doubt Spencer and Taj will make it far. The very young guys don't seem to be successful on Survivor and he I think he could be an annoying person, we'll see; and Taj probably blew it by telling everyone she's a Grammy-award winning singer who's married to a retired star NFL-player...

Agreed, that was a dumb move on Taj's part, and would likely kill her chances at the end even if she did make it that far. All the other pseudo-famous contestants in years past have been smart enough to not blab about it. I remember Carl in Africa, who got voted out early just because he was a dentist so people figured he had too much money already!

Debbie the Principal kind of scares me...she seems fun, but looks like she's had a few bad plastic surgery experiences... I like Erinn the hairstylist so far, she's got a bit of that bitchy edge that I'm always drawn too (also why I liked Candace). The blond is bland so far. And Sierra, though she's gotten a lot of face time, bores me.

I don't have a handle on Jerry yet for the guys, and I keep hearing the name Joe now and then, but don't have a clue who he is or even which tribe he's on.

Interesting couple of episodes so far, but they need to stop voting off the hotties so damn early!

Big fan of Survivor. My views on the first 2 episodes are positive. I was very surprised that Caroline was voted before emotional Sandy in the 1 episode.. Loved the fake vote off twist. Also i was really impressed by Sierra in the first episode when she decided to help her tribe by building the shelter for them despite after they voted for her.
Episode 2 we can see more off personalities. Coach is interesting but not my fav.. My fav for now is Sierra i hope she can allied with Brendan.. and go far in this game.
I also like Joe and J.T. from the other tribe.
The water challenge was fun and the black chick Candice has a great body and huge 7of9 tits man I was really sad she was voted out but rather her then Sierra. She can only blame herself by her attitude.

p.s. Regarding Taj's dump move. I agree. What was she thinking? We could see in the other people faces when she told them who her husband was. They were shocked by her stupidly.

This season is shaping up nicely. Loved the water basketball challenge. I also loved the Oh, we're just digging a big fire pit. lalalalalala

I'm starting to really like this season, interesting clashes between the players and fun, devious personalities - Tyson emerged as my favourite with this quote: ""I love making people cry, when you crush their dreams".

It was sad to see Jerry go last week. It just goes to show that things are unpredictable on Survivor, Jerry was an army guy used to worse heat, but he crumpled from lack of water. He should have lasted for much longer, he was a nice guy and seemed to be with the right group.

I'm torn as to weither it was a good idea to get rid of Sandy tonight. She had some good points, that pretty girl (S something) was using all her femine whiles to rope the guys and it seemed to be working. All the guys had a crush on her. She has tons of power from that.

Every week Coach seems more and more a jerk!

I loved Erinn's quote at the very end in the preview to the next episode: "Who is this jackass??" Indeed.

The jackass in question was the ladies soccer coach at Southwest Baptist College in Bolivar here in MO. I say "was" because apparently he got fired for being on Survivor. Supposedly he's gone to LA ( I think) to be a symphony conductor. Which seems to fit from what he was doing in the previews for next week, but seems a far cry from being a soccer coach.

Just watch the 5th episode but before i talk about that here is my recap on last 2 episodes. Timburu tribe lost again and Jerry was voted because he was sick. Bad luck Jerry.
Last week Sandy was voted out and quite frankly she was a oddball and it was only matter of time. There was no change they were going vote out Sydney. Sydney is the hottie and matter of fact Jeff Probst calls her Helene of Troy of Survivor in his blog.
My thoughts on last episode. Funny reward challenge
I am liking the Exile Island alliance(Taj and Brendan)and it with Sierrra(my favorite) and now Stephen. They are forming a strong secret 4 people alliance with 2 hidden idols for the merge. But it seems Tyson is catching on and he wants Brendan out. Luckily for Brendan his tribe won a immunity and Spencer was voted from the other tribe.
There are 11 people left and soon they are going to merge.

Story is (if it is true)that Coach lied. He told his collage that he was going to Brazil for cancer treatment.

I really like watching Survivor, I don't think I could do all the stuff they do. It is a great show. I would rate it #1

Sierra is my favorite so far. I hope the secret four person alliance goes well, I actually really like all of them.

Coach is...Coach. Hope he goes soon because he is getting irritating.

Two whole weeks without Survivor! How sad. Well, there was an episode this Wednesday but it was basically just a clip show, with some new footage thrown in. Nothing too exciting from what I saw (I fast-forwarded through a lot of it).

The previews make next week look pretty interesting though, so I'm looking forward to that.
