Played Munchkin with my wife for several hours today. Such a fun game, we haven't had a chance to play in a while.

Today is the 17th anniversary of the first date with my wife. Since our wedding anniversary is also her birthday (our 15th is a little over 4 months away), I love adding this day to celebrate her and how awesome she is.
I got a sizeable amount in gift cards for a focus group. I also got to do a facial!
My grandparents are very stubborn and prideful, they're refusing several things because they want to do it themselves as long as they can. Whether it's hearing aids, to random people visiting and doing their groceries. But they've allowed some help: they agreed to have an alarm button that alerts the pharmacy, in the future I'm allowed to pay the phone bill of my grandfather and I know my grandfather's bank account number now. I'm loving these baby steps 
Something good? Indeed it did, for me, about 90 minutes ago. I was interviewed for a French TV documentary series in which I expressed my thoughts on American culture, my favorite Presidents, the current applicant, bipartisanship, Reginald Rose, Genevieve Bujold, Bill Maher and the Trek BBS. No merde.
Just 5 minutes before I was supposed to call in for a recorded message about start times for jury duty tomorrow, I get this message: Your jury service has cancelled for Tuesday, July 28, 2026. Your service is now complete, and you DO NOT need to appear.

I've had hearing problems since I was a little kid--nothing major, just a pain in the ass. I had my hearing tested a year or two ago and the doctor said, "Congrats! You hearing finally has caught up to your age."
First blackberries of the year.
They went through a quick blast in the microwave and a little sugar added. Now being eaten with sliced-up banana and some vanilla icecream.
From now on, I expect I shall be able to get blackberries every time I go for a walk. The fruit's a little "mean" at the minute but there's rain due this week which should sort out that...and I need to remember to take a grabby stick so I can reach the best fruit in the top of the bushes!
