This has been bugging me for awhile and figured someone here can give me a good answer.

Why does Satan want a Meat Suit? Cant he do everything he wants as an spirt or is he powerless without being in a body?

Same with Michael? Cant he take out Mr. Satan without a meat suit of his own?

If Mr. Satan hates people so much then why does he want to be in Sam?

And if fate is determined, then what if John broke in Hell and open the first seal? Angels say the one that breaks the first seal is the one that stops it.

So if that happened then how would that effect Sam an Dean?

I understand with out the proper 'meat suit' the meat suit doesn't last very long or isn't as powerful as it should be....
which is why mr. satan and mr michael (both archangels btw) want the proper meat suit.

Ok... think of it this way.... didja ever see that babylon 5 episode where that telepath evolved beyond the need of a physical body into a purely energy type... (theres a trek episode out there too) well... angels / archangels are a energy type of existance... and in the constraints of the writers of the show.... in order to interact with the physical world where we reside.... beings of that type need a vehicle to drive...

Well the real world reason is it is cheaper to have an actor than a CG effect of light.

The show's reasoning is it is simply the rules of the game--destiny foretold that these two forces inside Sam and Dean would wage war. That's a bit of a contrivance by the writers but what can you do.

thru the act of free will.... sam and dean defy the powers that be (archangels) and prove that what angels expect is not alway's they way things will turn out to be...

Except, you know, we've seen that not be the case, such as every single time the prophet (sorry, I can't remember his name) was in danger. The first time we met Castiel he didn't have a meat suit, either, and he nearly destroyed an entire diner and Dean along with it just by saying 'hello.'

If anything, the only thing we've actually seen is that meat suits restrain their awesome might.

I think Daddy Winchester is far to stubborn to break in Hell, plus theres the fact that he escaped in the season 2 finale, so I don't think he was present at the time. Plus its always meant to be Dean and Sam, destiny and all.
