Supernatural 6x2 "Two and a Half Men" spoiler/discussion thread

Castiel doesn't have free will.

That said, the reason I don't like the God solution is because, well, it's lame and boring. "God did it" is right up there with "a wizard did it." Pure handwaving for the sake of handwaving. There's clearly something going on with Sam's return, and just having him show up and assuming God did it doesn't really fit and makes for a real snoozefest.

Well no more then the Devil did it (which is all of Sam's Destiny. But Castiel did show free will during the 4th and fifth season. While I wish the character wasn't a part of the 6th season. He certainly had free will.

"God did it" isn't a handwave when God has been a major recurring character for two seasons, as is the case with the Almighty Chuck.

So you guys honestly think God just popped Sam out and that's that. Despite all the oddities, strange behavior, and hidden agendas going on so far.

Well, to each their own.

and it's not just that's That... I do believe did reward them.... but that doesn't mean that's that... now they can do other tasks and the reward (being alive) just might not be the benefit that it's all cracked up to be... Castiel's scenes from next week conclude that his reward of More Power and responsibility isn't all that he expected.

It's like... Yeah! Ya did it!.... Here's more responsibility....

I don't know if that's what the creators aimed for, just saying its possible.

Even if God was responsible for bringing back Sam it doesn't mean that Sam wouldn't have had a horrific experience in the deepest part of hell.

I mean when Dean was fred from Hell it he still had all the emotional scars from being in the Pit for four decades.

As for the rest of the events, well doesn't have to be directly related to Sam's return to Earth. It could just be forces working with the opportunity that has came up.

And frankly with Castiel being given a 2nd chance, with Dean being given a 2nd chance, it certainly makes since for Sam to get his 2nd chance.

But of course that doesn't mean that is the direction the writers are going.

Again all my posts are just what I see as the most logical possible outcomes with the data we have been presented. As more data gets shown, everything gets reinterpreted.
