I fucking hate Tim Burton.

I must agree with you.

He just makes surreal stuff but doesn't seem to make stuff about human beings at all.

Thank goodness Bandwagon Superman died in favor of SR. SR was bland mix of camp and teenage drama, but it wasn't aggressively bad.

Out of all those failed ideas about suits in a can, polar bears,Kryptonian Lex, TY-Zor, Krypton surviving

SR was a decent path to go. It still had some odd ideas like stalker superman and the kid, but it wasn't anything as outlandish as purposed in previous years.


If Abrams got his shot, I could see him leaving Krypton intact. As we've seen in "Star Trek" he's not shy about doing something drastic.

Imagine Superman instead of a baby seeing the destruction of Krypton at the end of the movie.
