Styes Suck...

Have had a stye in my right eye since last Sunday...my guess is that I contracted it due to my sleep deprivation issues that I've had over the last couple of months. It's the first stye that I have had since I was a small child that I can remember having and it's finally starting to clear up. I still can see blood under my bottom eye lid and it still is irritating but the burning has started to stop. Anyone else had a stye before? I've been using the antibiotic ointment the doctor gave me along with tea bags and warm clothes as compressors. If it lasts through the weekend I'm going back to the doctor to get it drained.

Ive had it when I was teen, very irritating! Im glad youre feeling better.
I think Id still rather have a stye than this awful dry eye Ive been dealing with though, ugh.

I don't believe I've ever had a stye. Well, my Mother used to refer to my room as a "pig sty," but I have a feeling she meant something else.

I'm glad you're starting to feel better. I hope it clears up quickly.

I had one when I was a kid. The OP is correct, they do suck.

I think I might have reinfected my stye because it was getting better but I woke up this morning and it felt worse. Will be going to the doctor's tomorrow to get it checked out and I'm almost out of ointment as well.
