Paramount Pictures and Sony Computer Entertainment announced today that a series of Star Trek movie promotions would be beaming to Home users starting tomorrow.

On Monday, April 20th, director J.J. Abrams and movie stars Chris "Kirk" Pine and Zachary "Spock" Quinto will visit Home for a Q&A session with "selected press and bloggers from around the world."

Re: STXI movie promotions from Sony

This is the first thing that's even remotely tempted me to try Home.

Star Trek XI is in Home

I did not see this posted anywhere, so....

Paramount Pictures and Sony Computer Entertainment announced today that a series of Star Trek movie promotions would be beaming to Home users starting tomorrow. That includes "an exclusive video greeting" from Abrams and the newest Star Trekmovie trailer, both hitting Home as of Friday.
Also coming to Home are Starfleet uniforms and t-shirts, arriving in the Threads Store on April 23rd.

That means Kotaku. And that means, if you have a burning question for Abrams, Pine or Quinto, we'll try to ask it on your behalf.
And if you have a preference for which of the three you'd like us to start cabbage patching with first, we'll try to honor that too.
They'll also be holding a post Q&A "virtual roundtable" within Home. Both events will be streamed live online at the Star Trek PlayStation Home web site.
So, think of something extremely clever, cutting and maybe insightful to ask, and we'll see you there on Monday

UPDATE: From Locust_Star (He is one of the US Home Managers)

For the time being, this is exclusive to SCEE.

That's not for a lack of desire on our part, or because we are ignorant to the fact that, clearly, a large portion of the community wants this stuff. We're taking the necessary steps, having the requisite conversations, in an attempt to bring this over. So spare us the outrage please, and don't go posting 1000000 threads about "how our Home sucks because so and so gets this and that."

We get it: You guys want Star Trek. We'll do everything we can to bring this over. I promise.
I can't wait for this stuff to come to the US Home.
What do you guys think about XI being advertised in the virtual, gaming world like this? I noticed that the large majority of the US Home users (who post on the PSN forums) enjoy Star Trek, and many of them are under 16 as well.

I logged onto Home once and completely failed to see the point of it.

Granted, it was still in it's early developmental stage then, and there were only about 3 or 4 locations, but it felt really claustrophobic and pointless to me.

I will be firing up the PS3 and Home today to watch this, nice bit of advertising, and i swore blind i would never pay money for virtual clothes on home.......Then they go and stick TOS stuff in it....damn they know my weakspot.

Only thing is do i go with the Gold or Blue...and no om not going to get in touch with my feminine side and go for the red.....

Although its just dawned on me, is this going to be available to us here in the UK/EU PS3 home..?...i hope so.
