Just wanna express my awe at their interpretaion of the engineering room location. We discuss that a lot around here, and I gotta say, this is a brilliant interpretation that takes the TMP plumbing into account and runs with it.
Main engineering is right below the root of the ship's "neck," with a horizontal plasma shaft running back to the pylons from that glowy buncha pipes behind the screen, and a vertical one snaking up to the impulse deck. That big ol' thing in the middle of the floor becomes the top of the vertical warp reactor, which goes down several decks to meet the antimatter bottles as shown in Kimble's TMP cutaway.
Putting engineering all the way at the front of the 2ndary hull leaves plenty of room for the hangar deck (though I wouldn't have made the cargo hold quite so much like the refit's), and agrees with where the alien exited in Day of the Dove.
Good show, fellas!
