It looks passable, though some of the jokes seem a bit too self aware given the setting.

My favorite bit is the girl and and the bad guy are fighting, and the he says "you fight well" and she says something like "I wish I could say the same for you."

Ouch
She pwned him with that one.

Looks like he's doing a Pixar imitation. Still could be good, though.

I wish it wasn't in that fairy world setting like Epic and Arthur and the Invisibles which also seems to bring with it that washed out look and/or clay looking figures. I think some of that comes from those trying to fit it in as part of some larger "real world".

Sorry to bump this...but it looks like this film is a flop on the level of "Mars Needs Moms". It is rumored that Lucas thinks the film was not marketed properly by Disney (Which seems to have sold it mainly as a light-hearted adventure romp instead of a musical which it is).

No marketing could ever be clever enough to sell the garbage that George Lucas is selling these days.

Interestingly, It was during the press for Strange Magic that Lucas stated that his script ideas for VII were ignored by Disney.

Lucas was however heavily involved with the Clone Wars and that sort of turned out OK (Although like Strange Magic the movie/pilot did not do so well), and I think it had more of an epic scale than the current Rebels toon which feels kind of like OT leftovers.

Not to surprised this didn't do well. I barely made it halfway through the trailer before I turned it off. It just looked really bad.
