Straight Marriage is bad too.

The proof:

MATTHEW

10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

19:12 It is not good to marry. For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake.

19:29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.

22: I have taken a wife, and cannot be saved.

12:25 For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.

LUKE

14:26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

CORINTHIANS

1 Corinthians 7

(7:1) "It is good for a man not to touch a woman."

(7:2) "Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband."

(7:3-5) Husbands and wives should be kind to each other (and have sex whenever and however their spouse wants).

(7:3) "Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband."

(7:4) "The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife."

(7:5) "Defraud ye not one the other ... that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency."

(7:7-9) Paul would prefer that all men and woman would be celibate and abstain from sex completely. But those who can't control themselves should get married, for "it is better to marry than to burn."
Is marriage a good thing?
What the Bible says about marriage

(7:7) "I would that all men were even as I myself."

(7:8) "I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I."

(7:9) "But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn."

(7:12a) "But to the rest speak I, not the Lord."
Really? So this stuff is in scripture but is not inspired by God?
Was all scripture inspired by God?

(7:12b-13)
The Pauline Privilege: A believer may either keep or divorce an unbelieving spouse.
Is it OK to marry unbelievers?

(7:12) "If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away."

(7:13) "And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him."

(7:14a) "The unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband." (You can get saved by marrying a believer!)
If a husband believes, is his wife saved also?
How to get saved

(7:14b)
"Else were your children unclean; but now are they holy."
The children of nonbelievers are unclean. (But believers' kids are holy.)
Is only God holy?

(7:15) "But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases."
Is divorce ever permissible?

(7:18)
"Is any man called being circumcised? let him not become uncircumcised." (It's pretty hard to undo, isn't it?)

(7:21-23)
Slaves should not desire their freedom. Yet they should not be the servants of men.
Does God approve of slavery?

(7:21) "Art thou called being a servant? care not for it."

(7:23) "Be not ye the servants of men."

(7:25)
"Now concerning virgins I have no commandment of the Lord: yet I give my judgment."
So this is just Paul's opinion and is not divinely inspired scripture?
Was all scripture inspired by God?

(7:26) "It is good for a man so to be [a virgin]."

(7:27) "Art thou loosed from a wife? seek not a wife."
Those who are unmarried should never marry.

(7:29)
"The time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none."

7:1 Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.

So you've proven that the Bible can be used selectively to "prove" whatever point one wants to make.

Absent of a topic or point for discussion, let's just put this one back on the shelf, eh?
