Is is possible to share equipment between your characters? I want to give my new character some weapons\armor and some other stuff from an older character.

is this possible?

Only stuff that isn't bound...
Items are bound per toon, not account...

Some items (usually any crafted aitems, or items that are 'uncommom' - ie their ame is Green, Blue, Purple, etc.) are 'Bind on Equip' - meaning as soon as a character equips them, they are bound to that character and cannot be traped or mailed to another character (even if said character is on the same person's account).

For item's like this, a 'confirm' messeage will pop up stating the item will become untradeable, and you have to click yes to finally equip the item.

Also a 'bound' item will state it's 'bound' in the item info screen.

As long as the item is common (White); or is Uncommon, but has never been equipped by a character, it should be tradable (and mail-able) to any other character on your STO game account.

ok so i just have to go a mauil station on a starbase and send it to my other character and essentially pick it up at the post office?
