STO Account problem

I keep trying to create an account for Star Trek Online. I will fill the entire thing out, hit Download, but then all it does is kick me back to the top of the screen, and i have yet to receive any type of email.
Are they having some sort of issue?

Not that I'm aware of. The email you're waiting for, it wouldn't be related to the product key would it? If so you can ignore that part as the game will still let you play without one.

When you create a F2P account, do you have to create a PWE account? Just curious. Thanks.

Fyi, if you already have a Cryptic account (eg, from Champions Online), you don't need to create a PWE account.
