Hollywood marches on with more Stephen King adaptions after the mega successful IT.

I didn't like the novel. I remember seeing the miniseries when it aired but I have completely forgotten about it. This new movie could be good if they don't follow the book and do their own thing.

I dunno, the novel wasn't even that good to begin with...

The novel had some good moments, none of which were in the first movie adaptation

Agreed. I’m not saying it was this book but it was around the time of its release that my love affair with King novels began to wane. One of a few at the time where I just thought “someone get this man an editor, FFS.”

They won't need to split it up, you could cut half the book and make it a better story.

Well, it was one of the ones he wrote specifically as an analogy of his substance abuse issues. The Shining dealt with his alcoholism and this was to be about his cocaine use.

I just wish he didn't make paperweight length works about this stuff.
