Status of DS9, TNG and voyager charactors in new series?

Crazyewok

Vice Admiral
Admiral
We know we have picard back but If charactors from TNG, DS9 and voyager are featured what do you think they will be doing?

Janway: Either still a admiral or maybe President of the federation as her popularity and skills developed in the delta quadrant would be suited for such a task.

Sisko: maybe a God still? Or if he is back settled on major.

Riker: deffinatly a admiral, maybe enterprise E is his flag ship?

Kiera: President of bajor most likely.

Chakotay: Either retired and trying to rehabilitate surfing marqi or a admiral.

Beverley crusher: Head of star fleet medical?

Julian bashir: Head of section 31 (haha).

The doctor: likely gonebhis own way, maybe into the arts.

Wolf: ambassador to the Klingon empire or maybe even Klingon chancelor?

Data: gone into academia like his TNG future self?

O'brian: trapped on some planet of torture or some other horror because it's o'brian!

Nog: captain of the defient or DS9?

Kim: still a ensign! No seriously give him a ship for God sake!

Tuvok: likely head of star fleet security or intelligence.

Troy: likely a senior councillor.

Wesley Crusher: likely has his own command or 2nd officer (under Harry Kim?).

9of 7: probably a job in stellar cartography as that was her passion.

Rom: maybe commander or second officer of DS9?

La forge: USS challenger ?

Jake sisko: galaxy famous auther, obviously.

Paris: Ship designer at utopia plantia along with b'lania. They created the delta flyer in the delta quadrant with limited resources. Would be stupid of star fleet not to give them a shipyard!

O'brian: trapped on some planet of torture or some other horror because it's o'brian!

HA! I love this. :guffaw: #OBrienMustSuffer

Avery Brooks has no interest in returning - Sisko will never come back from the Celestial temple.

Kira would never, ever go into Politics. If she's not still in Starfleet (maybe she's an Admiral now), then she's probably in civilian life - maybe at a monestary.

Likewise, Rom will never have a military command of any kind. And anyway, why wouldn't he still be grand nagus? Isn't that a lifetime (or until you retire) kind of position?

Data is technically dead, though I understand they undid that pdq in the novels and I kind of hope they undo it here, too.

ETA: I'm not sure what Paris' ship design qualifications are supposed to be, but it's actually VOY canon that Kim would've been an award winning ship designer if he hadn't been trapped in the Delta Quadrant, so maybe he would go back to that.

Tried to count how many of those names were spelled correctly. Lost count after Wolf and O'brian.

But cool speculation nevertheless.

Don't forget Tuvok, Chekov, Ichab and Doc Zimmerman's Renegade phase!

The fate of 2399 characters, in my mind:

Picard (age 94) - retired Ambassador and Captain. Gets roped into the story.
Riker (age 64) - active Admiral. Liaison to Starfleet Command.
La Forge (age 64) - retired Captain.
Worf (age 59) - either a Klingon Governor (per AGT) or more preferably an active Captain.
Beverly Crusher (age 72) - active Captain. Picard's ex-wife.
Pulaski (age 81) - retired Starfleet Doctor. Maybe Picard's doctor.
Troi (age 63) - active Captain. Riker's wife.
Data - deceased.
Wesley Crusher (age 50) - interdimensional Traveler. Not seen.

Benjamin Sisko (age 67) - still with the Prophets. Not seen.
Odo (age ??) - still with the Founders. Not seen.
Ezri Dax (age 45 / 381) - active Captain, of course.
Jake Sisko (age 44) - novelist, maybe journalist still.
O'Brien (age 71) - Starfleet Professor, still. Well tenured.
Quark (age 60s) - still running his bar.
Kira (age 56) - active Bajoran General.

Janeway (age 64) - active Admiral.
Chakotay (age 70) - retired to his native planet.
Torres (age 50) - active Starfleet engineer.
Paris (age 53) - active Captain.
Neelix (age 62) - in the Delta Quadrant.
Doctor (age 29) - active holonovelist, activist, and all-around renaissance man.
Tuvok (age 135) - retired from Starfleet (again) to raise family and grandkids.
Hansen (age 51) - civilian scientist and scholar.
Kim (age 50) - Starfleet Lieutenant (j.g.)

For those interested I've researched Memory Beta on deciepted future histories of all the major characters after their shows, this is mostly Novelverse and some comics but other sources are [bracketed]

Sounds good, but it could use a little more sex.

Kim (age 50) - Starfleet Lieutenant (j.g.)

Here is story I will pitch.

O'Brien gets stranded on a planet that accidently had a game of thrones book given to it and thus base it's society around it. O'Brien is forced to play charactor of reek to survive and is horrifically tortured.

Lt(jr) Kim breaks the prime directive to save him and gets demoted to ensign for doing so

We are not worthy of such trek

They all meet up on Risa and get kicked out for weirding out the guests.

I honestly don't want to know the status of any of these people, just like I didn't want to know the status of the TOS crew when TNG was on the air. Why? Because it's inherently better to leave such things to the imagination rather than have some ham-fisted, after-the-fact fanwank reason for bringing these people back. It will never live up to the expectations I've already set in my mind. That's why I'm kind of annoyed that they're bringing back Picard in the first place.

All I know is, we need to see some guest stars on this new show, beginning with: Worf, Garak, Kira and Janeway. Kate Mulgrew is killing it on Orange is the New Black. They should build a Star Trek series around her. Orange is kind of on its last legs, this season is boring (writing, not acting). Time to end it and let the actors find other gigs.

I mentioned this in a a DSC thread, but Kate Mulgrew should totally also come back to Star Trek as a hamfisted, fan-wanky ancestor (Like Grandpa or Great Grandpa Soong or whatever he was) and be a season-captain of Discovery, but playing it as her character from Orange is the New Black. Maybe have her be an ex-con who joined Starfleet after her time in prison (I'd like to think Starfleet and humanity of this time would be like, sure...why the hell not? you did your time!) and have some kinda parallel with Michael

Hell, you could even go on to say that maybe that's why Kathryn Janeway saw fit to give a young Tom Paris a chance, a pay it forward kinda deal passed down from Elder Janeway, who really turned it around after joining Starfleet :nyah:
