State of the art CGI in future Trek

I think we need to focus more on story and characters and less on CGI and effects. Lately movies and TV shows have become 99% CGI while everything else is in the background.

Take for example a movie "Man from the Earth". It's done with no special effects, only a few cameras and something like 7-8 characters in one house. And the movie is amazing.

CGI is a tool. It should be treated as such. As Phil Tippet once said, "The computer wants to fuck you." So, you have to control it.
