Starting tonight and ending May 7th i'm going to watch 1 star trek movie a night (well i'm giving myself 2 nights to miss for work or whatnot). A Star Trek Movie Marathon is a tradition of mine before i watch a Star Trek movie (either in theaters [Nemesis] or at home [TMP-Insurrection]) for the first time.
This is how i feel about each movie and the corresponding night.
TMP - long and boring at times but still a great movie especially with the directors cut!
TWOK - a classic and one of my favorites, but as a result i've seen it a lot.
TSFS - Some great parts some boring, also i miss kirsty.
TFH - always cheers me up. & great fun while drunk (i'm just saying)
TFF - Also great drunk, sober, not so much, though the campfire scenes are some of the best interpersonal stuff we get in any of the films.
TUC - Honestly, my favorite Trek. Great story, pacing & music.
GEN - Starts out as if it could be a very good TNG movie, ends up somewhat off, but still the closest in feel to the series.
FC - Lets face it this was the best of the TNG movies & the borg = kickass!
IN - Nice star trek style moral story but the rest of it is crap.
Nem - it has its good moments but the timing is off and is not a good "Siren song" for the TNG cast, they were better then that.
and that leads me to "Star Trek" on May 7th... Can't Fing Wait!
