Starship volumes?

Hey, guys;

I'm back after a long abscence, and know we talked back in the day about the volume of starships (in terms of how many tons of seawater a ship would displace, were it completely submerged in water; if I remember correctly, the Galaxy weighed in at some 5,500,000 tons), and imagine if I go back far enough that there would be an old post in which Masao or other learned soul would have it all figured out, by ship class, and for Fed, Cardie, Romulans, Klingons, Borg, etc.

Anyone mind setting me up with a link to it, or resubmitting that information, for my viewing pleasure? Thanks, folks.

Good to be back...now to try and find time to catch up with all of the Tech threads I have missed!

Thanks, LCARS 24. I do remember the civil war between the 120m and 170m Defiant camps. I read with interest the Volumetrics article you posted a link to, thanks much. I would be interested to find the stats on a few missing ships, such as the Klingon Negh'Var and Cardassian Hedeki-classes, as well as the (Nobel-class?) USS Pasteur and 3-nacelled Enterprise-D from TNG's "All Good Things", if you know of any site or BBS thread that talked of such things.

I am also reading with interest your current Steamrunner thread, and the Ambassador-class MSD blew me away. Any other MSDs? Have not had time to check out your website (yet, that is).

For those who are interested, I have fired up a Battlestar Galactica thread in Trek Tech (if the mods haven't moved it) similar to this one, so if you have any input, come on over.

Thanks much, guys, it's been awhile.
